Conclusion
This red wine is a acceptable Merlot with lots of recognizable flavors that you would find in a French merlot. the red fruits notes, wood and earth notes gives it a good mouthfeel and is great with food. The price you pay for this quality is reasonable and I would buy this again for this price. A note to remember is that you need to give this some time in the glas after opening for the tannins and acidity to settle in the glass. La Châsse is instantly recognisable thanks to its unique bottle which proudly displays the moulded crest bearing the Latin words "Solis Terraeque Vinum Fructus", meaning literally "Wine, Fruit of Sun and Earth".
