Dark red forrest fruits with aromas of: Squashed plum, raspberry, dark cherry, red currant, hints of strawberry. The metallic smell on the nose is also on the palate. The high tannins take over and it's out of balance. medium acidity and full body. Also on the palate cedar wood, vanilla and chocolate. Hints of licorice, leather and spices.

  • Finish

Medium long finish with red forrest fruits and high tannins.

  • Conclusion

We find the Viña Albali Reserva more accessible then this one. A good pice but a little out of balance for a Gran Reserva. Expected more after trying the Viña Albali Reseva. I would prefer the Reserva over the Gran Reserva. You will get a good wine if you’re looking in this price category. This Tempranillo had at least 18 months of barrel aging in American oak barrels, followed by another period of 3 to 6 years in the bottle before its was distribute around the world. You can definitly taste the wood maturation on the palate but the tannins are still strong in this one.
